I added a short video of biking this amazing slick rock area north of Moab! Much more beautiful slick rock than usual, and mostly very smooth. It is like powder skiing 🙂 A real bonus is that the climb to the top is easy and scenic. Perfect beginner / intermediate terrain with some scary stuff for advanced riders.
Mountain biking festivals and demo events are a BLAST! Besides getting to ride a bunch of expensive bikes there are often other activities along with food and beer. Very social.
Sedona MTB Festival March 4 – 6, Sedona, AZ. This looks like a great festival. However, budget lodging and camping in the area is limited so bring money. The 3 day pass for $100 is a good deal. Event camping for $125 / adult for two days is not my idea of budget. Sedona is very nice but later in March has better weather and the other festivals are great also. Shuttles.

The Porcupine Rim Trail and assorted trails above it are part of the famous Whole Enchilada trail system near Moab, Utah. This video analyses the lower sections of the Whole Enchilada from Kokopelli Trail down UPS, LPS, and Porky to the Colorado River, and epic ride for intermediate and advanced riders.
