We’re camping at the Zion River RV Resort in Virgin for a week and riding the amazing trails around us.  Tomorrow, Friday, starts the 3 day Hurricane Mountain Bike Festival and I’ll be riding and reviewing a few bikes.

I’ve been shooting a few new clips for a revision of my Hurricane St. George Trails Overview video.  Nothing important, just a few clips to spice it up.  For the past couple of days we’ve been working on skills on the Guacamole Trail and biking stuff we walked before.  I’m forgetting to shoot some of the better ones unfortunately.  We’ve been on these trails enough now to find intermediate lines that we didn’t notice before.  It is amazing how much exciting intermediate riding there is in the gnar!  There are often little lines that aren’t too scary.  Body damage remains light after 4 days of riding.

During the bike festival we’ll be testing bikes on Gooseberry and Little Creek Mesas.  The weather is perfect for riding now with highs in the low 70’s.  See you out there? 🙂

By the way, if you follow the Redbull Rampage free riding event then that site is across the Virgin River from our camp.  Pretty nice area to hang out but we don’t jump off 50 foot / 16 meter cliffs.   Two to three foot / one meter wheelie drops is our max.  Screwed up landings aren’t a path to a local emergency room.
